What you need

You’ll produce a .csv with Battery block voltages, internal resistance, pack current, SoC, temps, and timestamps — perfect for the analyzer and Gemini review.

One-time setup

  1. Plug the OBD-II adapter into the car’s OBD port. Turn the car to READY/ON.
  2. Pair the adapter in your phone’s Bluetooth settings (follow the adapter’s instructions).
  3. Open Dr. Prius / Dr. Hybrid and connect to your vehicle/adapter.

Record a driving log (CSV)

  1. In the app, open Battery Monitor (live monitor screen).
  2. Tap Record (red dot) to start logging.
  3. Drive for 10–20 minutes with a mix of:
    • steady cruise, gentle acceleration
    • several regen braking events
    • 1–2 stronger accelerations (brief, safe)
  4. Tap Stop when done, then use Share/Export → CSV to save the log.

Tips for a clean log

  • Keep the app foregrounded; prevent phone auto-lock.
  • Use a known-good adapter; avoid unstable clones.
  • Don’t switch apps while recording.

Safety

  • Choose safe roads for accel/regen segments.
  • Obey traffic laws; don’t watch the phone while driving.

Suggested driving script

  1. 2–3 min steady cruise on flat road.
  2. 3–5 moderate accelerations to ~40–55 mph.
  3. Several regen events: lift/brake lightly from ~35–45 mph.
  4. 1–2 strong accelerations (brief).
  5. 2–3 min town speeds with stop/starts.

Where to find the CSV

Android

  • Saved to Downloads or a Dr. Prius app folder.
  • Or use the Share menu → Drive/Email.

iOS

  • Share → Save to Files (iCloud Drive or On My iPhone).

Import into the Analyzer

  1. Open this app’s main page.
  2. Click Choose CSV and select the file you exported.
  3. Verify the filename shows and the chart renders.
  4. Optionally click Ask Gemini for an AI summary.

If you previously loaded the Demo, the app clears it and shows your filename automatically.
